The Ernestina is a sailing schooner built in 1894 in Essex, Massachusetts. She is considered a National Monument for her contributions to the history of America. Join us in a voyage to discover the many lives of the Ernestina and her contribution to our heritage.

Tasks

You are on a journey to discover why people from Cape Verde imigrated to New Bedford and compare and contrast the two cultures from 1894 to the present.While on this journey, a log book must be maintained. Using this log book, please create a diorama/ collage or report which describes or draws from one period in the history of the Ernestina.
